This bunker is located on the canal from Ghent to Bruges in Moerbrugge, part of Ootkamp.
The bunker site is open to the public. As a visitor you can explore the bunker both on top and inside.
The bunker from the Second World War gives you a unique panoramic view over the valley of the Zuidleie along the canal. Inside, the bunker was cleared to allow bats to thrive. Several bunkers from WWII are located along the canal between Moerbrugge and Beernem.
The work of art (a bat in Yser) by Rik Beuselinck was also officially inaugurated at the bunker.
