In the valley of the valley , the "castle tower" of Crupet emerges, in the middle of a shallow expanse of water fed by the stream of the same name.
The rather massive, squat fortified house was built with coarse blocks of limestone in the last third of the 12th century . The interior layout is typical of the fortified houses of the Middle Ages and related to the activities in the house. On the lower level there are three parallel cellars , on the second level, where the entrance is also, was the beautiful floor and the third level was the sleeping area.
A curious latrine still hangs jutting out from the southern side . The castle and seigneury remained in the possession of the Crupet family until the 16th century , before being passed on in 1540 by marriage to the Carondelet family who settled there in 1568 . To them we owe the addition of a stair tower leaning against the left wing of the main facade, the adaptation to the half-timbered and brick protruding floor (original beams from the 13th century) and also to the limestone farm of the lord. The entrance gate , which is somewhat isolated in the east, still preserves the rebates and glides of the old drawbridge.
