This chapel is located on Rue du Pays-du-Roi in Somme-Leuze.
The chapel was built in 1919 by the parishioners of the Somme-Leuze because they were spared the mass murders of August 20, 1914 . 11 innocent civilians were killed and 20 houses burned down. 8 men were arrested and deported.
The original chapel could no longer be restored and was therefore rebuilt on the site of the cemetery . The current chapel was founded thanks to the former combatants, prisoners and resistance fighters of the Second World War.
In keeping with the Sacred Heart tradition, the chapel features a large statue of Christ with a heart .
