Description

Artist Dany Tulkens designed the eight-meter-high balloon in 1988, as a gift to the city of the Dutch Association of Years. He wanted to use it to say that you can transcend everyday worries with friends around you.

The balloon itself was given a light patina in silver chloride, so according to the artist the balloon should "bleed into the air". The basket is in Corten steel.
