Description

This house martin provides an extra nesting location for the house martin .

This is having a harder time due to the sharp decline in food (flying insects) and the lack of nesting material and nest locations. Causes of this include the use of pesticides , the fragmentation of the landscape and increasing built-up areas.

House martins prefer to make their nest against a wall or under a gutter. This shelter with flyable prefab nests offers a perfect shelter for many swallow families. There is also space provided so that swallows can build their own nest.
