The Zevenkerken Abbey School is located on the beautiful grounds of the St. Andrew's Abbey, five kilometers from the city of Bruges. Surrounded by forests and sports grounds, they offer general type secondary education (ASO) for boys and girls. All the students are internal.
To make the transition from primary to secondary school easier, the students of the first year stay in a separate building: the Paviljoen. There they take lessons and the boys also sleep.
The students from the second year up to and including rhetoric take lessons at the College. The boys sleep in the boarding school of the school and the girls (including those of the first year) stay in the Girls' boarding school of the nearby priory of the sisters of Bethany.
The Abbey School was founded in 1911 by the monks of Saint Andrew's Abbey. It is clearly inspired by the Christian tradition and the rule of Saint Benedict.
