Description

The walk goes straight on here, but on your left, along the path, you can clearly see a free-standing beech tree with blue markings. This means that this, already quite impressive, but still quite 'young' beech has been designated as a future tree. Within the management of the forest, in which trees are periodically cut down to give the future trees more room to grow and to increase biodiversity, this will be spared as long as possible. It was selected as a healthy, upright growing tree. Within the management plan, he gets all the space he needs to grow into a real whopper. When it is ready for felling (i.e. reaching target diameter), and new future trees have already been identified nearby, it will be cut down and can be sold as quality sawwood.
