The Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-over-de-Dijlekerk was built on the left bank of the Dijle.
The imposing church was built in the 14th, 15th and 16th centuries in the Brabant Gothic style. A nave with three seven aisles connects to a five-sided chancel enclosure, choir nave and trans-chapels. After severe damage from World War II, the present lantern tower was added and the church received beautiful new stained glass windows , both designed by Jan Lauwers. This makes the light of this church very special , especially in the late afternoon.
The church houses The Miraculous Catch of Fishes (1618-1619) by Pieter Paul Rubens.
"Our Lady of the Seven Twos" is a statue by Antoon Faydherbe.
