The old station building was then demolished to make way for today's catering business in the Groene62 , a former track bed.
The former railway bed forms the ideal route for hikers and cyclists and is therefore an ideal stopping point.
This green axis connects Ostend with Torhout . At 22 km , this old railway is the longest of all green axes . Moere station has been preserved along the route.
