The Uitkerkse polder is the most important grassland bird area in Flanders.
Therefore, it is an attractive spot for nature photographers and bird watchers . In the Uitkerkse polder, Natuurpunt also has photo booths especially for photographers. There is also this watchtower.
Thousands of geese settle there in winter , while hundreds of meadow birds make their appearance there in spring .
