After the demolition of the chapel of Our Lady of Ackere (1897), Father Segers had a new chapel built in the same year, the Saint Anne's Chapel. This chapel was built about a hundred meters further to the village. The whole has a rocky view. Behind the chapel is the grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes. At St. Anne's Chapel there were seven chapels (the seven sorrows of Our Lady). These were demolished in 1967 to make way for the chiroheem that has since moved again.
