Our Lady of Lourdes

Description

The original stake chapel stood on this site for more than 100 years and was destroyed by a car accident. Between February and April 1961 the present triangular chapel was built by E. Van Gestel and people in the neighbourhood, according to the plan of the Maria chapel in Viane (East Flanders). It was dedicated to Our Lady of the Poor. In 1961 the new Lady Chapel of 'den achterste Heikant' was consecrated by E.H. A. Van de Weyer. The triangle focuses on Our Lady of Banneux.
