These four columns in the parc des 7 heures originally belonged to the source building from the early 19th century.
In 1815 Spa is part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Willem van Oranje, who appreciates the city very much, wants to make it the most important spa in Europe. He had a new building built to house the pouhon. Classical in style, the monument has 18 columns . This building is demolished in 1878 . In the park of 7 Hours you can still see 4 columns.
On the pediment one could read: "In memory of Pierre Le Grand" . Since then, our pouhon bears the name of Pierre Le Grand.
