This memorial plaque, decorated with a flower box, stands almost at the crossroads of Rue Haftay and Rue Sur le Thier in Winamplanche.

The official report states the following: Postman Van Brabant cycled back to Spa after his round in Vert Buisson. He was driving towards Winamplanche when he was the victim of an unwitnessed accident.
His colleague José Job found him dead on the side of the road, but his bicycle, bag and kepi were neatly laid by the side of the road . He alerted the village. The young postman died while being taken to hospital. Without being able to clarify anything, the cause of the accident with a third party was not identified.
