Against the facade of the church are two commemorative plaques for the Second World War.
The first commemorative plaque is a thank you from the Jewish community to Abbot Marcel Stenne for his efforts to hide so many Jewish children from the Germans so that they would not be deported.
The second commemorative plaque commemorates the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Stoumont.
