Description

The Church of Saint-Remi in Thon-Samson has a relatively simple neoclassical style .

Its facade, made of beautiful dressed and hammered stones, is emphasized by the sculpture around the door and window. The relief thus created enlarges the entrance to the church and creates the illusion of a false portal. At the top of the front facade is a large stone Christ , the origin of which is unclear, and a date that dates the church to 1780.
The current church was built under special circumstances . There was an old church at this place. Therefore, in 1780 it was decided to build a new church. The residents voluntarily participated in the work.

A small cemetery adjoins the church of Saint-Remi.
