The Cathedral of Our Lady has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2000.
The stained glass rose window in the west facade, with a diameter of 7 meters, is an eye-catcher. It is located in the Romanesque nave and overlooks the great organ.
Originally the west facade had two portals next to each other. Around 1170, both portals were combined under a pointed arch. Presumably because the interior of the church towards the west side was considered too dark , a large Gothic window was added in 1526. In the 19th century , when unbridled restorationism broke out across Europe, this window was closed and replaced by a large rose window. One realizes that the current west facade has little in common with the original .
