In Pijnven, you can now bike through the trees. Besides 'Biking through Water', Limburg now has a second major cycling experience: 'Biking through the Trees'. On this bike path, you safely reach higher realms. Literally, because you bike via a double circle up to 10 meters high among the trees. You see, feel, and smell the beauty of nature.
'Biking through the Trees' takes place in Hechtel-Eksel, at Pijnven in National Park Bosland, at junction 272 of the cycling route network. And that is not a coincidence. Bosland is the largest contiguous forest area in Flanders and manages to connect people and nature.
Just like 'Biking through Water', this bike path offers a unique cycling experience in harmony with the natural environment. You experience nature in a completely different way and become one with the forest. The path gradually rises to a height of 10 meters and is 700 meters long. The poles symbolize the straight trunks of the pine trees, ensuring that the construction blends beautifully into the surroundings.
Don't forget to take a selfie and share it with #FDDB.
