The Walzin passerelle was opened in 2016.
Thanks to this pedestrian bridge , hikers and mountain bikers can now go from one bank to the other in just a few steps or pedal strokes, connecting the Falmagne-Falmignoul and Dréhance-Furfooz plateaus .
The pedestrian bridge, a mix of metal and wood with a span of 44 meters , is designed to blend into the landscape and not spoil the beauty of the place, with the majestic Château de Walzin just a stone's throw away.
If this pedestrian bridge delights nature lovers, it also does business for the sports clubs in the region. And in particular the ARCH, the Ciney athletics club, which annually organizes the Descent of the Lesse, was previously forced to build a temporary bridge. The walkway is also used during the Trèfle Dinantais mountain bike race.
