A semi-circular chapel on a limed stone plinth, made of yellow brick and local sandstone slabs, containing a niche with a statue of Mary, protected by a wrought iron grille.
Above the niche is a date in a round medallion:
1957
A small granite slab engraved in relief and placed below the finial bears the following inscription:
O MARIE CONCUE
SANA PECHE
PPN
This column was erected in 1957 by Mr. Joseph Minguet , former municipal secretary of Aywaille, in gratitude to the Blessed Virgin for his protection during his internment, from August 9, 1944 to April 13, 1945, in Germany in the camp of Beeckewerth (Duisburg) during the last world conflict.
The land on which this monument was erected belonged to the Chemin de Fer and Mr. Minguet obtained a precarious lease for it, just as he obtained a precarious building permit from the Ponts et Chaussées administration. (Information kindly provided by Etienne Compère).
At that time the couple lived in the house opposite this pole."
