Christ on Golgotha - Sugny

This 6 meter high stone cross stands in a pyramidal rock garden of white pebbles, located behind the grave of Abbé Muller.

It was built after January 13, 1949, the date of death of Abbé Muller , who is buried in the Marian domain.

The cross imitates a slightly gnarled tree trunk and supports a copper-colored bronze Christ. The crowned Christ of Golgotha measures approximately 1.50m by 1m.
His arms are placed diagonally across the cross and his fingers are curled upward. His feet, from which the nails protrude, are placed next to each other.

On August 16, weather permitting, pilgrims walk around the cave and make the Stations of the Cross while praying the rosary and singing various songs.
They express their respect for the grave of Abbé Muller and therefore for this cross .
