This circular drinking basin is located on the rue Grande.
It is equipped with a cast iron fountain post with a cylindrical, smooth shaft. During water scarcity, only the lower drinking bowl was full.
The source of water in Chairière is the Fontaine Saint-Walfroy (in honor of the patron saint of the village). From the end of the 18th century , pilgrims took bottles of the water with them: the Virgin Mary appeared! They no longer expected miracles, but for the Tchérios , the inhabitants of Chairière, it is unthinkable not to benefit from the water that flows from the source.
