This road cross is located near the intersection of Our and Rue de Porcheresse.
A road cross or field cross is a common memorial at the intersection of roads and streets in Catholic regions. It is a religious expression that reminds the passer-by that Christ died on the cross.
Crossroads are available in wooden, cast iron and stone variants. They were installed by wealthy people , often farmers, or by neighborhood associations that raised money for this purpose. If a road cross is placed outside the built-up area, it is called a field cross.
