Description

According to legend , on August 15, 1096, after having gathered the army of Godfrey of Bouillon on the alluvial plain on the way to the Crusade, Peter the Hermit gave a lively exhortation that excited the troops present.

On the right and left we are on a site classified by the Royal Commission for Monuments, Sites and Excavations. On the right the Merleuxhan loop (Poupehan) and on the left the Frahan loop.

Poupehan is also the village of the tobacco and washerwomen who went to Sedan to collect fabrics from the textile industry to wash them in the Semois, whose bleaching properties were unanimously recognised.
