The Gardens of Stene are located in a historic polder landscape hidden between the polder village of Stene, the open Snaaskerkepolder and 20th century residential areas of Ostend.
The Gardens are a 35-hectare green oasis and an example of a 21st century food, landscape and agricultural park.
The comfortable cycle path through this park is on the cycle route 'Groen Lint' and the farm route of Oostende. A footpath through the area lets you discover an unknown part of Stene. You walk through the pastures with sheep and cows and come back via the polder dike in the beautiful village of Stene, with its many restaurants.
Picnic tables and bicycle sheds are provided at the cultivation fields . A platform in wood and concrete is a resting place with a view over the lower grasslands and the lanes. A pergola in steel and overgrown with climbing fruit serves as a meeting place.
Official construction began in late 2017.
