The statue of the Belleman in Ronse refers to the Fiertelommegang, an ancient tradition in which the relic shrine of Saint Hermes is carried in a large circle around the city. The Belleman walks at the front of the procession and announces the arrival of the shrine with his bells. The statue, made from Balegem stone by artist Stefaan Ponette, is located to the right of the Saint Hermes Basilica, at Albert Park, on the corner of Cypriaan De Rorestraat.
