From this bench , you look out over a creek .
The Gauwelozekreek (also often called Gouwelozekreek ) is a historical creek in the Ostend Creek Area , on the border of Ostend, Oudenburg, and Gistel. It originated in the 16th and 17th centuries when the sea flooded the polder land during the military conflicts surrounding the Siege of Ostend.
Today, the creek forms part of a valuable nature and recreation area.
