In 1962, the language border in Belgium is established. Komen and Moeskroen are lifted from West Flanders and transferred to Hainaut. In return, the six villages of the Voer region (Moelingen, Sint-Martens-Voeren, 's-Gravenvoeren, Sint-Pieters-Voeren, Teuven, and Remersdaal) move from Liège to Limburg. The following year, the Voer villages are administratively incorporated into Voeren; the French speakers are granted facilities.
