A signposted walk in the green edge of Brussels. In the past, the Wolfsputten were a sandstone quarry, now they are a nature reserve of 90 hectares and one of the most important in Flanders due to its size, richness in flora and fauna, geological structure, and rich history. The walk runs almost entirely through the Wolfsputten. Through grasslands and forests. In spring, the hyacinths scent the oak and hornbeam forest. And you tread over boardwalks with elevation changes and sometimes narrow paths. And also through the small Kluizen forest. This is less suitable for strollers but very fun for children. But beware: after periods of heavy rainfall, some parts of the course turn into mud baths. We could experience this firsthand in December… So it's best to choose a dry period for this walk.
