Route West heads towards Tielt and starts at the parking lot of the sports center. Along typical rural roads, you will encounter, among other things, the retention basin and Vermeulen's chapel O-L-V of Assistance. The route is flat and rides along quiet, albeit narrow winding roads. In total, the route is 9 km long. At the level of Kleine Ruiseledestraat, you can connect to the Tielt route. Start and finish location: Tieltstraat 46a, 8755 Ruiselede.

The Skeelernetwerk Midwest spreads out over the municipalities of Ardooie, Hooglede, Ingelmunster, Izegem, Ledegem, Lichtervelde, Meulebeke, Moorslede, Oostrozebeke, Pittem, Roeselare, Ruiselede, Staden, Tielt, Wielsbeke, and Wingene with a total distance of approximately 450 km. You can skate for kilometers along a varied rural and urban landscape. Besides the beautiful views, there are also nice resting spots. You will discover the assets of the 16 municipalities in three tourist regions: the Leie region, the Bruges hinterland, and the Westhoek.
