Description by the author

This walk visits 9 of the 18 sources of Spa ('sources', 'Pouhons'), namely those to the north and in the valley of the city. There is also a "part 2" that visits the sources on the southern flanks and heights .

In 2021, the UNESCO World Heritage Committee decided to add 'The great spas of Europe ' to the World Heritage List. Spa, with its history of springs and thermal baths, is part of this list.

The walk is part of the walk "in search of all (18) sources of Spa" which, in addition to all the sources, also visits most of the sights of this fashionable city and of which also a A shorter version exists " In search of the most important sources of Spa (shortest) " which only focuses on the sources.

Stopovers: after 3.5 km you will return to the centre of Spa and after 7 km you can continue to Brasserie Jardin des Elfes at the Lac de Watfaaz (open every day).

Start in the centre of Spa, accessible by public transport. Parking in Spa is free but a few main streets are blue zone.

The 9 sources visited are in order:

- Source du Broxhou

- Source of the Pelerine Voie

- The fountain in the eyes

- Pouhon with Arms of Austria

- Source Prince de Condé

- Pouhon Pierre-Le-Grand

- Source Marie Henriette

- Source Wellington

- Source du Tonnelet

Through the fashionable parc des 7 heures we start a climb to find the first three sources . We return to the center with its 3 sources and monumental fountains and buildings.

We walk almost to the Lac de Warfaaz to the next 3 sources and return to the centre along the Ravel.

Be sure to also consult the information about the sights once you are there . They will explain what you will see!
