The Flemish Land Agency mapped out this walk after the completion of the Land Consolidation of Jesseren. The walk starts at the church of Kortessem and ends 11 km later at the Stroopfabriek in Borgloon (with an experience center and nearby tourist office). Along the way, you pass through the Hemelspark and the edge of the Bellevuebos. You will pass Kasteel Haagsmeer and the center of Kerniel (including the Mariënlof abbey). Be sure to discover these special places after passing Kerniel: the Odiliabron with the artwork Time Traveller and the shell beach with the artwork Time Capsule.
