A part of the current Gompels Broek has been known for centuries as 'Postelaars', also previously called 'Postels Broek'. The area 'Postelaars' can serve as an example of the large land reclamations that took place from the Middle Ages. The Postels Abbey became the owner of the area, which explains the name 'Postelaars'. Put on your hiking shoes and come enjoy this beautiful floodplain along the Scheppelijke Nete.
