How would we describe the Keiheuvel in Balen in one word? Sand. Lots of sand. And that's why the walk is in its Kempen style. But to be honest, we should split the walk into two parts. One section over drifting sand plains around the airfield, and a more wooded section in the east. We chose a walk of 11 km, ideal to fill half a day! This walk was chosen by Tourism Provincial Antwerp in 2018 as "Walk of the Year" and in 2019 the walk finished first in the election for the "Most Beautiful Walk in the Country".
