The Witte Nete valley is a unique nature reserve in the Kempen where the landscape is flooded annually by the Witte and Zwarte Nete that meet there. Water is the lifeblood of the area on which the historic watermill and nature depend. Parking in the street 'Watermolen' near the Watermolen, the walk starts on the other side to the left of the Witte Nete in an unpaved path. Here is a small dilemma: the signs with the red square are still present and do not conform to the route described with junctions (distance 4.5 km). The GPS route (7 km) is a bit of the red walk with an extension through a wooded area of the Beverdonkse Heide with its ponds in the Witte Nete valley.
