Challenging bike tour through Hesbaye and the Meuse Valley in 3 provinces: Walloon Brabant, Liège and Namur. The tour takes place mainly on car-free roads or old car-free railways such as the Ravel 2 and the Ravel line 127. The towpaths along the Meuse: Ravel 1 Est bis 1 and Ravel 1 Est also guide us to discover the beauty of this river landscape up close. Cycling right next to ships around the world is a special experience. Be careful not to suck up the Meuse because there is hardly any parapet anywhere! When we leave the Meuse at Marche les Dames, we return to the beautiful and sweet Haspengouw. Between Gelbressée and Marchovelette our route passes on a steep slope, here it is advisable to use at least a 38x25 or 42x26 resistance. This bike ride is a real relief for all passionate cyclists who hate dangerous cycle paths in Flanders where, along the ribbon buildings every ten meters, an exit from a garage, a courtyard or a side street puts us in permanent danger of death. On this trip, none of that. Haspengouw is synonymous with quiet roads and villages where stress and hectic work have yet to be invented. It is a silty region with very fertile soils, used for agriculture and livestock, so here we will meet little industry. Beautiful views crown our efforts.
