Everyone knows the 'Viaduct of Vilvoorde' this huge bridge, official name 'Viaduct sea canal Brussels-Scheldt', in full use from 1978 and 35 meters high where about 140000 cars drive over every day, but everyone knows the green surroundings next to and under the viaduct. The Tangebeek forest with the Tangebeek and Domein Drie Fontein to the north, immovable heritage both architectural and cultural-historical landscape offer peace and satisfaction here. The domain has an English landscape park and a French garden modeled after Versailles. The domain is named after the hamlet 'Drie Fonteinen' but originally it was a fountain on the sas van Ransbeek with four nozzles in the four wind directions but skippers could only see three nozzles from across the sas and talked about three fountains. Parking on the Albert I laan itself (enough space) because the parking of the Tangebeekbos is closed probably by a new cycle path with traffic in both directions. At the roundabout take the left side of the Albert I laan. After the passage at the viaduct you arrive at the Blood Caves, here you can choose to walk through or over the caves.
