A walk (80% unpaved) towards the castle d'Ursel, since 1994 the building is owned by the province of Antwerp with a cultural destination. Plenty of picnic benches in a beautiful setting. Via lanes and through fields we will cross Het Moer - Frankrijkbos, a protected landscape with moist forests and small-scale meadow and arable land. We return via the nature reserve around the Vliet. With some luck you can see deer, to our surprise even around noon. Hingene is in the list of the 50 most beautiful villages in Flanders. Parking at the end of the Frans de Laetstraat nr 60 (GPS Bornem), there is also a camper place and picnic bench. If you want to do the short distance, you can turn left at walking junction 51 to get back on the route at the next intersection, then you will miss the passage past the castle.
