The Beninksberg is a Diestian hill and is also referred to as the brother of the Wijngaardberg. Parking for this walk can be found at the corner of Klein-Vlasselaar and Blauwmolenstraat. When we cross Klein-Vlasselaar, there is a field path (Klein-Vlasselaar path) leading to the Beninksberg. The walk starts with a sloping hollow road. After walking 0.5 km, we pass the Graevenberger vineyard. This estate is planted with the grape varieties Pinot Noir and Muller-Thürgau. We continue walking and turn left. We descend about 250 m and turn left again to head towards the Beninksberg.

We walk for 1.5 km over the Beninksberg, a typical example of a Diestian hill. It is a very varied landscape with native deciduous forest, heathland, poor grassland, and scrub. Special attention is given to a grazing project with horses and cattle. We have a total of 2.5 km when we turn left and walk the other side of the Beninksberg. This side of the hill offers us some beautiful panoramas and nature sections. We have completed 3.5 km when we return to the hollow road. An ideal exploration round on the Beninksberg.
