AzureThis flat tour starts and ends in nature reserve Schulensbroek with the well-known Schulensmeer. You step on the border of Haspengouw and the Limburgse Kempen. This means an alternation of sandy soils, forests and meadows with fields and fruit orchards. Around Lummen, the various castle domains stand out. In Halen you reflect on the First World War. This way you pass the place where the Battle of the Silver Helmets took place. The highlight is the unique memorial park with its 44 creatively crafted Stahlhelmen. Unforgettable.
