In the east of Limburg, the Maas is the boss! Over the centuries, the river made its way through the beautiful valley and thus gave nature free rein in various places. The Meuse Valley is one of the driest and sunniest regions in Western Europe. The specific soil of pebble and gravel produces a lot of beauty, from fragrant herbs to graceful vines that, with their roots in the banks of the Meuse, convert all the goodness from this unique terroir into distinctive products for gourmets. Taste the Maasland at one of the wine estates along the route or on a sunny terrace, cross the river to the Netherlands with the ferries, but above all enjoy miles of steppe over endless banks interspersed with some cultural toppers.
