Description by the author

The artificiality of the borders between countries is never more clearly demonstrated than on the border of the two Luxembourgs: the Grand Duchy and the Belgian Luxembourg. Natural beauties do not care about the border at all. A little south of Martelange the large forest gives way to open landscapes where the hilly structure of the country is guaranteed for an abundance of panoramas.

DISTANCE
About 6 km.

TYPE OF ROAD
Two-thirds of the way takes you on bituminous country roads with the same amount of traffic as my backyard. But for the last part you walk on dirt forest roads or with base coating that can be muddy after or during rainy weather (especially when the wild boars have stirred the earth to look for mushrooms and recipes). There is no need to wear rubber boots, but strollers and wheelchairs will inevitably cause problems on forest roads.

MARKUP
At the very end suddenly appear some blue rectangles, but they have no importance for the route. Several street signs can also provide a good service.

PARKING
There is a large parking lot next to the round and modern church which looks like a fortified castle - a rare structure.
