Tour of Gesves

A fairly short walk to explore Gesves...

Start at the Saint-Maximin church with its famous organ.

We pass the cemetery and soon descend to the Samson, which is still a small stream here. We pass the neglected Saint-Joseph chapel and turn onto Route 66, an old road that has been restored. We arrive at the also neglected Lourdes grotto and past 2 land-art works by Les Sentiers d'art and La fête de Mai.

At the chapel of Saint-Hubert we cross the busy road to walk along the Fonds de Gesves. We return past the chapel of Saint-Roch and the chapel of Sainte-Barbe and thus arrive at the back of the Castle of Gesves. We return to the starting point past a medieval tower and the Chapel of the Sacred Heart.
