Discover all benefitsThe Bois des Capucins gets its name from a convent that has since disappeared. With a few exceptions, the beech forest is almost absent from this part of the woods, a testament to a different history. The Bois des Capucins was indeed largely deforested, and it is thanks to Leopold II that it was replanted, predominantly with pedunculate oaks, spruces, and Scots pines. The sovereign designed a "Royal Walk" there, which we propose to take.
