Gravel ride Hoeselt, Kortessem, Diepenbeek

This gravel route starts in Bilzen, more specifically in the borough of Beverst and even more specifically in the hamlet "Schoonbeek". In the beginning it mainly runs (as far as the unpaved part is concerned) on field roads towards Hoeselt. There we go along the highway to end up on "het Paneel" via a plantation.

From there it goes towards Vliermaalroot, part of Kortessem. Along a stream we arrive in Kortessem itself where we circle on field roads to "Netelbroek". That's how we get to Diepenbeek. From the starting point we arrive at kilometer 31 at a double gate where the local farmer kindly asks us to close the gates behind us again.

From then on, the unpaved parts follow less quickly, but along the Demer in Diepenbeek we still have a nice piece of unpaved. We then take the tunnel under the track and drive towards the highway where we get a straight stretch of unpaved again.

In Beverst we come via a piece of canal track and field road in the center (through a neighborhood) to make a detour to "the castle of Schoonbeek". We finish with a small piece through the forest and along the local football field. The short stretch of unpaved just beyond this "stadium" leads to the end of the ride.
