This is one of our favorite walks. The forest is devilishly beautiful, silent, and wild here. This walk reveals one of the least exploited parts of Soignes, the Joseph Zwaenepoel Integral Reserve, named after the retired forestry engineer who was its instigator in 1983. Specifically, it consists of 230 hectares left to themselves, where any form of forest management is excluded and where natural processes occur without human intervention. We start the walk from the priory of Groenendael.
