At the edge of the Hantes

Hantes-Wihéries originated from the merger of the hamlet of Hantes and the village of Wihéries and is characterized by its limestone buildings. The route takes you to the heart of the Hantes valley. If you deviate 200 m from the route, you will see the 19th-century Pont d'Arcole (bridge). You will pass by the Ferme du Grand Pré (farm), which consists of a group of buildings including an old mill and a main building used for tourist and culinary purposes. On your way back to the village, take a moment to visit the cemetery where French and German soldiers are buried who perished in 1914 during the Great War. Finally, you can admire the classical architecture of the Château de Robaulx from the 17th century, the former residence of the Lords of Hantes. On the outside of the 18th-century Saint Remigius Church, you can admire the statues of Saint Roch and Saint Barbara.
