L'ÉCLUSE - The gently rolling Brabant countryside

This countryside walk takes you to serene landscapes, where beautiful and large Brabant farms occasionally appear, but you will also discover a commendable artistic work by Julos Beaucarne. The quiet roads of this walk zigzag between the meadows and cross the Schoorbroek. They are easy to follow and wind through a countryside where the lanes of alders follow one another. Past a hay meadow, you arrive at the abbey farm of Wahenges, which rises solitary on a plateau amidst the fields. Opposite it, the work of Julos Beaucarne rises up against the azure blue sky. Further on, you pass through a small woods and emerge into an expansive landscape where the church of l’Ecluse stands out against the ochre yellow background of the fields with crops.
