From Falaën, one of the "Most Beautiful Villages of Wallonia," the winding road takes us through the sinkholes of the Namur Condroz. A little further on, a forest appears and we pass by La Héronnière. We follow a gravel path and suddenly the ruins of the fortress emerge on the heights.
The walking path now goes through the underbrush, strewn with flowers. One would gladly lie down here...
We follow the stream Le Floyon, bathed in light, and arrive at the farm of the old lordship. The road bends and descends towards Falaën, where a castle farm from 1672 is located. This quadrangular farm with three large towers and a drawbridge displays a perfect balance between its defensive and agricultural purposes and is remarkably well preserved.
