The route goes past the soccer field, crosses a spruce forest, runs along the cemetery of Banneux, and then leads to a country road. Here begins a descent toward the valley of the Vesdre. The alternation of dark spruce forests and bright deciduous forests is then combined with more open agricultural landscapes. Halfway, you have a beautiful view over the village of Fraipont and the Vesdre valley: "the loveliest valley in the world" according to Victor Hugo. The return path slowly goes into the valley via the forest of Fraipont and along the various forest streams. You then arrive in the heart of the village of Banneux. Visit the St. Leonard's Church (1885) built of sand and limestone.
